Say hello to Industry 4.0.
The floor feeds the plan.

Fast Planning Software puts an Industry 4.0 data layer under the planning engine. Operators book process status with a three-step scan — shift, machine, operator — while IoT devices capture machine run times and process parameters automatically. Pick-to-Light guides the picking. Live machine and job-card status make the floor paperless, and the actuals flow straight into plan-vs-actual, machine loading and OEE — real time, not yesterday's paperwork.

Two ways in, one plan

Book it by scanning. Capture it
automatically. Feed one plan

Actuals reach the plan two ways — an operator books process status with a barcode scan, or IoT devices capture run times and parameters off the machine with no one recording numbers. Both post to the same planning record, so plan-vs-actual and OEE run on one live source, not two systems to reconcile.

Path one
Book — barcode process status
Process status updation by scanning: scan shift, machine and operator barcodes to book OK and Not-OK production, actual start and end times, cycle and setting time, machine stoppage or breakdown, and operation specifications — shift-, machine- and operator-wise.

Path two No manual numbers
Capture — IoT machine data
IoT devices on the machines capture the start and end times of operations automatically, plus process parameters such as temperature and pressure straight off the equipment. No more recording numbers by hand — the data is collected, analyzed and visualized for real-time management.

How it works

From a barcode scan at the machine
to a plan that reflects the floor

Process status is booked by a three-step scan and captured by IoT, then fed under the planning engine. Nothing is written on a job card and re-keyed later — the scan is the entry.

Scan Shift → Machine → Operator
Three barcode scans identify the shift, the machine and the operator for the booking
Book the Process Status
OK and Not-OK qty, actual start/end, cycle and setting time, stoppage — all captured on the spot
IoT Captures Automatically
Machine start/end times and parameters like temperature and pressure read off the equipment

What the data layer covers

Six things the floor captures
and hands to the plan

Each one is a native part of the planning engine — booked by scan or captured by IoT into the same plan the machine loading and OEE dashboards read, not a separate shop-floor app.

01 — Barcode Booking

Three scans, and the status
is booked to the plan

A number written on a job card gets copied wrong and reaches the plan a day late. Instead, the operator books process status by scanning three barcodes — shift, then machine, then operator — and enters OK and Not-OK production, actual start and end timing, cycle and setting time, machine stoppage and operation specifications. It posts shift-, machine- and operator-wise against the order process sheet, so the plan sees the floor as it happens.

02 — Automatic Machine Capture

The machine reports itself —
no numbers by hand

Say hello to Industry 4.0: IoT devices on the machines capture the start and end times of operations automatically, and process parameters such as temperature and pressure straight off the equipment. There is no more need to record numbers manually — the data is collected, analyzed and visualized for zero downtime and real-time management, then feeds the same machine loading and utilization that the plan runs on.

03 — Live & Paperless

The floor is live.
So is the plan

This is the truly paperless factory. Process visualization shows live machine status and live job-card status on the floor, and every booking and IoT reading feeds live status and OEE back into the plan. So plan-vs-actual, utilization and efficiency reflect what's running right now, not last night's job cards — the Industry 4.0 situation room that makes data-driven decisions possible.

Everything the Industry 4.0 layer covers

Barcode Status Booking

Book process status by scanning shift, machine and operator barcodes — a three-step scan that posts shift-, machine- and operator-wise.

OK & Not-OK Capture

Good and rejected quantities separated at source, with operation specifications, so rejection analysis runs on booked reality.

Actual Times & Stoppage

Actual start and end timing, cycle and setting time, plus machine stoppage and breakdown captured as downtime and idle time.

IoT Machine Capture

IoT devices capture operation start and end times automatically off the machine — no operator recording numbers by hand.

Process Parameters

Temperature, pressure and other process parameters captured during operations and visualized for real-time management.

Pick-to-Light & Live Status

Pick-to-Light for picking accuracy and inventory visibility, plus live machine and job-card status for a paperless floor.

"Booking used to arrive on job cards a shift late, and half the cycle times were guessed. Now operators scan shift, machine and operator to book status, and the IoT boxes capture run times off the machines — plan-vs-actual and OEE move in real time, not from yesterday's paperwork."
